The Southern Arizona Falls Prevention Coalition (SAFPC) is a respected local partnership of groups mobilized to promote strategies to prevent falls and fall-related injuries among older adults.
The Falls Prevention Work Group’s goals for 2018 are to:
- Increase collaboration among community partners to coordinate referral and access to fall prevention interventions and resources in Pima County for older people (60+).
- Improve the awareness of fall risk factors, prevention strategies, and resources among older people (60+), their family, caregivers, and organizations serving older people in Pima County.
The SAFPC meets the third Thursday of every month (in person and by teleconference) at the Abrams Public Health Center, located at 3950 S Country Club Rd. in room 3110 from 9-11am with occasional exceptions.
